The goal was pretty modest for starters: Virginia's seniors wanted to make a bowl game. Four consecutive victories have carried them well past that goal, and now the No. 24 Cavaliers, ranked for the first time since 2007, face their most daunting obstacle yet. Virginia (8-3, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) plays No. 6 Virginia Tech (10-1, 6-1) on Saturday, and the winner advances to next weekend's ACC championship game against Clemson. The Hokies have won seven straight and 11 of 12 in the series, but receiver Kris Burd says he and his fellow seniors are thinking about improving the legacy they will leave at Virginia. He says punctuating the year with a victory would be something that would be remembered for a long time and ''an echoing part of history.''
