Wake is using quick passes and draw plays to neutralize Maryland’s frequent blitzes. For example, on Wake's second possession, QB Riley Skinner threw 25 yards to Josh Adams on a play in which safety Kenny Tate blitzed. Wake has nearly 150 yards on its first two possessions. Caleb Porzel made his first carry for Maryland and lost three yards. Wake Forest 14, Maryland 7, first quarter.
