You snooze, you lose. That’s what Brooklyn star and Syracuse recruit Wayne “Lights Out” Morgan would say to Penn State. With National Signing Day just 5 days away, brand new head coach Bill O’Brien has made a late push for the 4-star defensive back. Morgan was as shocked as anyone the Nittany Lions joined the race so late, but he relayed good news to The Fizz.
“I’m not really looking into it because it is too late. This was unexpected.”
Whew. PSU actually has not even offered Morgan, but will heavily pursue the Erasmus Hall product until Wednesday. The senior also has no plans to cram in a visit to State College this weekend. Penn State is a day late and a dollar short, and the speedy DB says he’s not considering a late switch.
“It’s just between Syracuse and UConn.”
Morgan admitted he had garnered a lot of attention from PSU as a sophomore, but until this week had heard absolutely nothing from the program. Bottom line, Wednesday Wayne will choose between two hats.
