Steve Spurrier roams shirtless at Gamecocks spring football practice.

The rumors are true. South Carolina head football coach roamed around the Gamecocks' spring practice field shirtless on Thursday. Here's the visual proof of The Old Ball Coach's half-nakedness. Don't look, Ethel! Steve Spurrier thinks P90X is for wussies. There's no definite word on the explanation of the reasons behind the exposure of Spurrier'...

Steve Spurrier coaches South Carolina spring session shirtless (video)

Shirtless driving season has already started in the south, and South Carolina Gamecocks coach Steve Spurrier is embracing it. But given both his age, and what he’s accomplished in college football, I think “the ol’ ball coach” or “the visor” now has license to do whatever he wants. Maybe we’ll start calling him “the shirtless wonder” soon too.

And here’s a shirtless Steve Spurrier during yesterday’s South Carolina practice

We’re very familiar with Steve Spurrier. We’re also very familiar with seeing Steve Spurrier without a shirt on.And since we’re all familiar, Spurrier had no problem going shirtless during South Carolina’s practice yesterday. And though the picture is blurry, we definitely know a shirtless Spurrier when we see him. H/T EDSBS

VIDEO: Spurrier after second practice

Head coach Steve Spurrier spoke to the media Thursday following the Gamecocks' second practice of the spring. Look inside for the video from Gamecock Anthem.

Nothing to see here, just Steve Spurrier going shirtless at spring practice (video)

This just in. South Carolina Gamecocks head football coach Steve Spurrier has the same attitudes about the appropriateness of not wearing a shirt in public that one can typically witness at State Fairs as well as in WalMart parking lots seconds after men exit the store on a hot summer’s day, no matter the status [...]

South Carolina Spring Football 2012: Thoughts on Running Backs

South Carolina has a talented stable of capable running backs but the lead workhorse is Marcus Lattimore. The question is who will emerge as the backup. Lattimore will not take part in the spring practice but he will be the starter in 2012. He has already rushed for over 2,000 yards and 27 touchdowns and that is while missing several games over those two seasons. The job for the...

South Carolina Sports: Quite a Roundup

The articles listed below are courtesy of Life of a Gamecock and Adam Garrett.  Darrin Horn is out. The Gamecocks men's basketball coach is apparently out as the head coach of the South Carolina men's basketball team. Horn just completed his fourth season in Columbia but has seen his stock drop tremendously the past few seasons as Horn has had three straight losing...

2012 Gamecocks Baseball Field Report: Princeton and midweek

Here is the belated, and abbreviated, field report for the last few games. South Carolina played Princeton over the weekend and continued their Tiger-taming ways by sweeping the series.  Friday night’s game was another pitching duel.  Freshmen Kyle Martin and Connor Bright both drove in runs to support Michael Roth’s appearance.  Roth pitched beautifully before he ran into...

Know Your Baseball Enemy: Kentucky

South Carolina was the winningest SEC baseball team from 2001-2010.  Then in 2011 they had a pretty successful year, too.  During the same time period (’01-’10) Kentucky was the worst SEC baseball team.  The Wildcats finished the decade a full 64 games behind South Carolina, and 17 games behind 11th place Mississippi State.  Last year Kentucky finished 8-22 in conference...

Gamecocks hold first workout

The spring season officially kicked off Tuesday afternoon as the South Carolina football team worked out in front of a modest crowd at the Bluff Road practice facility. Head coach Steve Spurrier was one that spoke following the practice.
