South Carolina. That is literally all I can say without vomiting. There is just something about South Carolina that really makes me sick. I'm not sure what South Carolina is supposed to be good at in college sports, but they have really inflated sense of themselves. Ok with that out of the way lets get to it:
Possibly the single most hate-able figure in college football history is Steve Spurrier. He is an arrogant, brash, old, loudmouthed Ol' Ball Coach. He took great pride by running up the score as often as possible while he was at Florida and tries to do the same at South Carolina, but it's not working out well for him. He led the Gators to a 122-27-1 record and an 87-12 SEC record. But apparently he has lost his mojo without realizing it due to the 48-34 record with a 25-26 record in the SEC. Plus, don't forget the win UK had over him last year at Commonwealth. Oh and I hate his visor, but it fits him perfectly.
Next up is the South Carolina Student Council. After UK lost to them in basketball in 2010, they sent an open letter to UK fans about how they "owned UK" in sports. That came up and bit them in their visor wearing hind parts. Since then, UK has pummeled them in basketball and probably the best part: We beat them last year at Commonwealth. Since the open letter, they have yet to beat UK in a major sport, so I guess we can actually thank them for that.
South Carolina fans are almost too easy to make fun of. Their favorite chant is "Go *****!" Which is why I laugh like I am in 6th grade every time I watch South Carolina play against UK. Their fans say it like it is going out of style. But I will stop, that one is too easy. By the way, did you see the above picture? Either a) The fans in that picture cannot form a proper sentence, or, well, there is no b. The guy in the picture obviously was not aware that while they did make it to the SEC Championship game, they got absolutely destroyed 56-17. Sounds about right.
Basically that is why I hate South Carolina, and you probably do too. Go Big Blue!
