...Anyone expecting Kansas fans to feel bad about going 10-0 without facing Texas or Oklahoma in conference obviously has no grasp of the historical magnitude of this season of unexpected success. The current start has not been equaled by any Kansas team in over a century. We're talking pre-helmet days, and coaches who remembered the Civil War clearly. If KU handles business when Iowa State visits Lawrence next week, it will be the best start ever on Mount Oread. Ever....

  • Kudos to Kansas. When it comes to conference play, you play the schedule they give ya. No apologies, no asterisks, just a very nice year. Here's hoping Manginio uses some of that fat new contract that must inevitably be coming to get gastric bypass or something, so he survives to enjoy a few more glorious years.

  • I'm so happy to finally see some new teams atop the college polls! It's been such a fun year so far. I get tired always seeing USC, LSU, Texas, etc, etc, etc.......simply switching spots in the top 3 each year. Pollsters should have learned from Boise St. last year.
