Denard Robinson threw for two touchdowns and ran for two more, helping No. 12 Michigan come back from a 10-point halftime deficit to beat Northwestern 42-24 Saturday night to remain unbeaten. Robinson matched his season-high by throwing for 338 yards and ran for 113 as Michigan (6-0, 2-0) scored on its first three possessions of the second half.

Michigan safety Jordan Kovacs continues to be the Wolverines' most valuable defender. Although he's third in total tackles -- he'd prefer that because it means players are getting stopped before they get to him, unlike in recent years -- he remains Johnny-on-the-spot, the reason he leads U-M in sacks (three) and tackles-for-loss (four), despite being a safety.

Michigan took to the road for the first time this season and found itself staring in the face of adversity for the first time since the Notre Dame game. A poor first half turned into a 10 point halftime deficit, but Michigan was able to make the necessary halftime adjustments to dominate the second half.
