The promising team that Sampson had assembled is now falling apart, amid reports that he will be suspended for the season and then let go. "The Herald Times reports that neither Sampson nor his assistant coach Ray McCallum showed up to practice today, and that Armon Bassett (pictured with Sampson), D.J. White, Jamarcus Ellis, Jordan Crawford, DeAndre Thomas and Brandon McGee also failed to show up to practice." A good team sliding down the rocks into oblivion.

Sampson has really made a mess of all this, all over a bunch of phone calls.

This is HORRIBLE TIMING for this. Morale has been at a low since the allegations first surfaced. Now you have the Kids skipping practice. The chips are obviously down, but this is the wrong route to go. These kids, the institution, fans, boosters, and alumni need to come together to support each other in these dire times. Not to transform into '' I DON'T GIVE A S... MODE!'' They worked so hard to give up now. Why throw it away? ''Stick Together HOOSIER FAITHFUL!'' Don't come undone! That's the cowards way out!

Yea it was poor timing, but what do you do, wait till the end of the season? It's a tough one to deal with, but in the case of right vs. wrong it's a good call to let him go. It will def hurt the performance of the club though.
