Mets.com reports that Brian Schneider is doing better today.
Mets catcher Brian Schneider was back in camp on Thursday, moving with significantly less pain in his right knee less than a day after his leg was examined, via MRI.
The preliminary diagnosis the Mets gave Wednesday was supported by the off-premises MRI: The veteran catcher has a strain of the posterior capsule of the right knee. Schneider has yet to be given a prognosis, but he had begun anti-inflammatory treatment and didn't expect to miss significant time.
