Stockpiling Tight-Ends!
The New England Patriots have added another weapon to their offensive arsenal, as they traded for Alex Smith. No, it’s wasn’t the San Francisco 49ers quarterback, it’s the other same named Smith that played tight-end for theTampa Bay Buccaneers. The Patriots sent a 2010 fifth round draft pick to the Bucs, in exchange for Smith who became expandable [...]

2009 Wonderlic Scores Released. Who is This Year’s Vince Young?
Everyone knows the Wonderlic is utterly meaningless. I mean, Dan Marino scored a 16 and Alex Smith a 41…but which would you rather have at quarterback? Exactly. You don’t take the guy who can ace a culturally-biased IQ test but can’t hit the out-route to save his life…you take the dude who’s dumb as a [...]

Your long nightmare is over Niners fans?? or is it?
That's right, write down the date and time, the 49ers team management have finally made a smart move, and if I'm recalling correctly, ONLY smart move since Dr York took control of the once storied franchise by the bay. They've relieved Alex Smith, a top candidate for worst draft pick of all time, from his starting duties at QB. That's the end of the good move...

May I Introduce....
Our 2008 San Francisco 49er Starting Quarterback, J.T. O'Sullivan, yes that's right people you read this right I did type "starting qb". J.T. took the long way to get to the San Francisco Bay Area to end up trying to right a ship that, like the Titanic, hit a snag and pretty much went down.
What I find really very odd is that J.T. was born in Burbank, CA, went...

2005 draft full of BUSTS!!
With Cedric Benson being dropped by the Bears this offseason and 2005 rookie of the year Cadillac Williams possibly out for the entire 2008 season it is hard not to look back at the top 10 picks of the 2005 NFL draft and not think about how TERRIBLE most of these guys have turned out. Gotta start with #1 pick Alex Smith of the San Francisco 49ers. Smith just got beat out of the starting...

Is it too late for Alex Smith? Not quite
We've seen this before haven't we? Big time college quarterback, expected to be the next big thing in the NFL and then he takes the first exit off the road to success. We've seen all the names.
Akili Smith. Ryan Leaf.
Is it too early to add Alex Smith's name to this list of draft busts? [...]

Stop putting faith in Alex Smith!
The 49ers take option on Alex Smith's contract, extend him to 2010. The team has made another mistake with the horrible quarterback.

Should Alex Smith get another shot?
Should 49ers quarterback Alex Smith get another shot to succeed? Should we be harsh on him? The answer is "Yes" and "No".

Mike Martz hired in San Fran, can now help shorten the career of Alex Smith
Just a few short days after being fired in Detroit, Martz is taking his show to San Francisco. That should make for interesting games with the Rams twice a year, and should shorten the career of both head coach Mike Nolan and QB Alex Smith although to be fair to Martz, Smith should put up some big numbers once he figures out Martz's offense.

We're Going Bowling: Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl
The Utah Utes haven't been the same since the drafting of quarterback Alex Smith and the departure of head coach Urban Meyer. They find themselves matched up against Tulsa in the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl, This game will probably be as good as you could expect a matchup between Conference USA and Mountain West teams to be.
