David Murphy reports (via Twitter) the Phillies have sent left-handed reliever Sergio Escalona to triple-A Lehigh Valley to make room for left-handed reliever JC Romero, who will return Wednesday from a 50-game suspension for violating Major League Baseball’s substance abuse policy.
