Rusty Reckons: Say It Ain't So, Joe
Old Rusty's got nothing but respect for Joe Gibbs. One of the most outstanding fellows in the sport, his faith (respectfully so) dictates many of his business decisions. For instance, he still refuses to consider alcohol sponsors for any of his teams. However, the news coming out of Michigan makes me start to think what in the devil went wrong.

Today Redskins fans the world over proved yet again that we are the best fans in the world.? And don't take my word for it, ESPN anchors Trey Wingo and Tom Jackson agreed that there was more burgundy and gold in the crowd than the colors any other team could?muster for a hall of fame induction.

Report: Interstate cutting back sponsorship due to NASCAR TV ratings decline
Interstate Battery sent a memo to all their distributers today telling them that Interstate will be on the Joe Gibbs Racing car for 6 races and M&Ms on for the rest in 2008.
Interstate will be the "official battery of Joe Gibbs Racing" and will have NFL ties. They cited a decline in TV ratings for NASCAR as a key driver.
