USC QB John David Booty lands in Minnesota

The Minnesota Vikings traded up Sunday to select USC quarterback John David Booty in the fifth round of the NFL draft. Booty comes with plenty of polish and accuracy, but the Vikings said he will not start over Tavaris Jackson. That is the salient issue at this point in the Heisman race. The front runner is either Arkansas running back Darren McFadden or USC quarterback John David Booty. Yes, I know, the vast majority of college players chose McFadden as the front runner in a recent survey, but those guys don't vote for the Heisman.
