Noel Devine quit on the Eagles
Yes, I tend to pay a little more attention to former West Virginia Mountaineers in the NFL than perhaps I should. But running back Noel Devine is a special case. A YouTube phenomenon in high school, Devine seemed destined to contend eventually for a Heisman Trophy during his first two college seasons, when all he…

Devine expected back for UNLV game
According to the Las Vegas Review-Journal, the Mountaineers are expecting senior running back Noel Devine to be ready for Saturday’s game against (*sighs*) UNLV.
West Virginia coach Bill Stewart said today he expects his standout running back, Noel Devine, to play in Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. PDT home football game against UNLV.
Devine, who rushed for 1,465 yards and 13...

WV Metro: Devine Should Play This Weekend
Well it looks like Devine will play vs. UNLV this weekend. This is some good news after a sloooowwww bye week! I just hope that he doesn’t over exert himself this weekend and saves himself for the Big East games since this UNLV game should be more like a scrimmage. But like we’ve seen in the Big East all season, we can’t take any game for granted. Here is a report...

Dorothy, We're Not in West Virginia Anymore...
During his seven-season stint as the head coach at West Virginia, Rich Rodriguez transformed the program into an annual national contender -- taking the Mountaineers to four consecutive New Year's Day Bowls, winning three Big East championships and the first back-to-back top 10 finishes in school history.
However, since skipping town to come to Ann Arbor, Rodriguez has found...

WVU vs UNC: The Last Thoughts
As the game between West Virginia and North Carolina it is time for me to give you my "Last Thoughts". As you know, if you read my blog, the "Last Thoughts" post is all about gut feelings about the game, or the players, or the staff, or any of the above, or even something else.First thought: T.J ...

WVU vs UNC: The Preview
In the end, when all is said and done, the fact that North Carolina (8-4) is going to play in a bowl game today is proof enough of what a great job head coach Butch Davis has done in two seasons at Chapel Hill. The Tar Heels beat three ranked teams this season, along with posting victories ...

Bowl Picks Part 3: Motor City, Meineke, Champs, and Emerald
Motor City Bowl: 12/26, 4:30pm PT. Central Michigan vs. Florida AtlanticA rather mediocre Florida Atlantic team against a Central Michigan team that would have won their conference if it weren't for Ball State. From what I have seen in Central Michigan they move the ball well and can play solid defense. Their offense is capable of putting up a ton of points and that will be the...

Noel Devine in reality is not this good
EA Sports created NCAA '09 and forgot to include any artificial intelligence in the game. Noel Devine of West Virginia literally runs circles around the Georgia Bulldogs defense. On a side note the graphics do look great.

Devine News for the Mountaineers
Noel Devine is highly regarded as one of the top, if not the top running back recruit for the 2007 class. If you recall back in February, the day before signing day Noel Devine shocked some in the recruiting world saying he would attend West Virginia University. He picked WVU over Florida State, but even then most thought that Devine would need a year a prep school before actually...
