ECU offense looks to get back on track
East Carolina quarterback Patrick Pinkney threw for a career-high 406 yards and tallied three TD passes in the school’s 34-31 win over North Carolina in 2007. This weekend the Pirates would be happy if he just broke 250 when they hit the road to take on the No. 24 Tar Heels this Saturday at noon.

Senior Patrick Pinkney completed six-of-nine passes for 113 yards and sophomore Brandon Jackson rushed for 50 yards to spearhead the offensive effort, while a surging defensive front tallied six tackles for lost yardage on the other side of the ball to highlight East Carolina's first intra-squad scrimmage of preseason camp Saturday afternoon at Dowdy Ficklen Stadium.
