Hamels Snuggles In Bed
Phillies Starting Pitching: 4 gm, 0-3, 18.2 ip, 36 h, 6 bb, 22 r, 7 hr. That's a 10.88 era with a top of the shit heap 2.34 whip. Rally-Killer: Ryan Howard did a damn fine job of clearing the bases yesterday...by hitting into 3 double plays.Phillies Offense: Aside from the wild 7th inning in Wednesday's win, the Phils have scored only 8 runs in 4 games. Pathetic!~Carson

Ryan Howard: Skinny Strike Out King
The streets is saying Ryan Howard has come to camp svelte. I don't care if he went on the Bobby Sands diet, he better be more concerned with striking out so darned much.

Ryan Howard requests 18 million
A situation that is likely going to get dicey got under way today: the Ryan Howard salary arbitration. Today was the day that players and teams exchanged salary arbitration numbers and the Phillies and Howard are already 4 million dollars apart. The big slugger requested 18 million dollars while the Phillies offered 14.Howard already won a huge case last year that gave him a 10...

Howard Asks For 18 Million
Arbitration eligible Ryan Howard requested 18 million dollars in arbitration, an eight million dollar raise from last year. The Phillies responded with 14 million, and may have the edge in this case. Howard did play in all 162 games, plus 14 playoffs games, but saw drops in OBP, SLG, and AVG, and made seven more errors than he did in 2007. On the other hand, he did lead the league...

An actual Phillies article...
Let's Go Phils! We all know what happened last night: Utley got an early home run, we jumped out to a 2-0 lead, Cole pitched a gem, we handed it over to our bullpen in the 8th, they got the job done, and the Phillies take Game 1. It had us on the edge of our seat for 9 innings and we should consider ourselves lucky considering the amount of runners that were left on base.Tonight...

This is weird…
As a Phillies fan, I am going into uncharted territory. For fans like me, who were too young to really remember 1993, this is brand-new. After the team decided to get tight and crap the bed for two days against Atlanta, the offense came back with a vengeance tonight.
Ryan Howard cranked a 3-run bomb deep [...]

Phirst Place Phillies
Brewers fire manager. Brewers lose to Cubs. Mets lose to Nationals (again). Ryan Howard leads Phillies to another come-from-behind-win in Atlanta. Phillies in first place. What an exciting night for Phillies fans.

Don't Player Hate, Arbitrate
Ryan Howard's agent, Larry Reynolds, is spending hours each day (or delegating that responsibility to someone else) preparing a case to prove that Howard deserves $10 million instead of the $7 million that the Phillies want to compensate him for his efforts. The system is called arbitration, but why is it used and what tactics are employed by agents? Phil Miller of The Sports Economist...
