On meeting Al Davis for the first time:
“Meeting Al (Davis) was pretty unique. I found out five or ten minutes after my first practice there [...]

Manuel: NL Manager of the Year?
At Yahoo! Sports, columnist Tim Brown is ready to crown Jerry Manuel of the Mets, Manager of the Year.
Legit candidate? It's hard to argue against him. He's took over a team staggering to play .500 baseball and turned them into a winning team. The Mets are 48-28 under Manuel going into the weekend series against the Atlanta Braves.

Funniest man in the room: Michael Irvin
Michael Irvin wasn't the best football player in the room. He wasn't even the best at his position. But he absolutely stole the show when it came to making people laugh. Recently Yardbarker teamed up with Ronnie Lott and All Stars Helping Kids to throw a Hall of Fame fantasy football draft party. In addition to Irvin and Lott, the event played host to an additional dozen...

Coming to California
Been a couple weeks since I blogged sorry for the delay. We wrap up our workouts this week and then head to California for the Rookie Symposium Sunday. All the coaches are gone so right now we're just lifting. We'll get a small break before training camp starts in late July. I do miss California and I'm looking forward to spending a few weeks at home. I'm also planning to attend...

Furious George
Bob Sanders. Mario Williams. Jim Brown. Warren Moon. Tim Brown. Some guy who used to play for the Patriots and who supposedly was awesome but I'm too young to have ever heard of him (John Hannah). And a good band with a not-so-great name. Oh yeah, you know you're feeling it. Furious George.
RazorGator knows how to throw a Super Bowl party. We shot some footage at their...

Tim Brown, still on top of his game
I learned two things from our interview with Tim Brown at the Bud Bowl Watering Hole Super Bowl Party. First, the former All-Pro WR doesn't mind when you accidentally introduce him as "Hall of Famer Tim Brown" despite the fact that he won't actually earn this honor for a few more years. I wasn't expecting him to correct us, but it was enjoyable to see him smile and just roll with...
