UW Huskies vs. WSU Cougars 2012 Apple Cup game balls & stats
Cougars Take Apple Cup!
First and foremost, Go Cougs. The season thus far couldn’t have been more tragic if Shakespeare wrote it. There was only one thing that could surmount some sort of silver lining – an Apple Cup victory in Pullman.
And oh, how sweet it was.
In all of my years here at Washington State, there has never been a sweeter moment than seeing that football leave...

MMQB: Cougars leave Bowl Hopes on the one yard line in loss to Utah
MMQB from Insider Steve our resident Washington State Cougars guru weighs in with his take on the Utah Utes vs. vs. WSU Cougars recap. On the one yard with momentum on the WSU side, Paul Wulff elected to take Conner Halliday, who just drove the offense 74 yards in 5 plays, and his offense off the field in favor of PK Andrew Furney. Why oh Why?
Furney's man of the hour, but regrettably so
The good news was that Andrew Furney kicked four field goals. The bad news was that he had to. On a balmy fall evening when the Cougars rushed for 154 yards while managing to hold UCLA to 170 yards – 267 less than the Bruins amassed against WSU last year – they were unable to convert in the Rose Bowl’s red zone.
