It’s time to deliver the Fizz 5 of Syracuse’s win over Stony Brook, 28-17. SU won a game for the first time in almost 11 months. It was way too close for comfort the entire afternoon, but parts of Marrone’s new up-tempo offense clicked beautifully and Syracuse held on to secure the victory.

Week 2 Fizz Five: SU Loses But Carries Away Positives & Ashton Broyld is Fiesty
Syracuse fought hard Saturday against the mighty Trojans, but fell 42-29 at Metlife Stadium. Matt Barkley did what NFL caliber QB’s do, and passed for six touchdowns, as SU couldn’t stop the playmakers on the USC sideline. Let’s keep in mind this was the 2nd ranked team in the nation.
