BEACHUM'S CAREER IS OVER
Junior-eligible running back Brandon Beachum underwent surgery today on his broken left ankle, Penn State announced.
Rehab will take four to six months, so there is a chance he could be ready for the 2012 season opener. However, he does not plan to play next fall, as he is on target to graduate next month after 3 1/2 years at Penn State.
