Back on January 15th Ohio State reserve cornerback Dominic Clarke and DerJuan Gambrell were released from their scholarships by head coach Urban Meyer in the first loud move made after Meyer took over the program. Today Clarke signed on to play for Illinois State of the Missouri Valley Conference where he will likely see plenty of playing time.

Is Urban Meyer making room for additional signees at Ohio State? I guess if you cut deadwood before national signing day it is technically not oversigning. One thing seems certain, if you're a marginal scholarship athlete at Ohio State you had best stay out of trouble - no nurturing for you.
