In two different NFL Drafts, we'd seen four members of the UConn Huskies football team selected (2009 and 2011). We had never before seen five. The Houston Texans made it five Huskies and their second of the day when they took TE Ryan Griffin with the 33rd pick of the 6th round (201 overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. Tight end Ryan Griffin is one of 16 Connecticut players who will be honored on Senior Day at Rentschler Field Saturday. On Tuesday, Griffin told reporters how the Huskies kept the faith when they were 3-6 after losing at South Florida.
