Kansas Looks to Improve Nation's Worst Defense
To get a good understanding of the job facing new Kansas defensive coordinator Dave Campo, take a look at a few statistics from the Jayhawks' defense in 2011. Here's link to the NCAA stats for scoring defense last year at the FBS level. Scroll all the way to the bottom and you'll see Kansas checking in dead last, 120th in the country. The situation wasn't any different...

We were wrong about Charlie Weis. He’s an ogre
I never even noticed the resemblance to Shrek until I actually heard Charlie Weis mention it. I mean, I always figured him, like others, as Grimace. Weis right now is trying to change how things are done at the University of Kansas, but he also wants to change how people view him. Of course, that is going to be kinda hard when you have carried yourself as an all-offense knowing...

Report: Kansas Picks Up Transfer from Nebraska
There's not much question Kansas can use some help on defense in 2012 and it appears they may be getting some in the form of another transfer, this time from former Nebraska defensive end, Josh Williams.
Confirmed tonight that former Nebraska defensive end Josh Williams will play for Kansas in 2012. He arrives in Lawrence this May. #huskers

Kansas Gets A Potential Coaching Steal In Charlie Weis
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 100 times: The college football coaching carousel is the equivalent of a daytime soap opera for men in their 20’s and 30’s. Come the last weekend of November, names, faces and jobs changes faster than those in Derek Jeter’s blackberry when he’s looking for a booty call.
Still, no matter how closely you follow the coaching movements...

Turner Gill fired from Kansas
After the Mark Mangino era, former AD Lew Perkins was out to make a statement in his first (and only) football head coach hire. In all his wisdom, he gave Coach Gill the most favorable contract in the Big 12 and a guaranteed $10 million dollars over 5 years to a coach who was only making $500,000 at Buffalo.

Kansas Jayhawks Fire Head Coach Turner Gill
At one time head coach Turner Gill was the talk of the town. The former head coach of the Buffalo Bulls took the MAC team to the league championship. Even the Buffalo Bills were rumored to have an interest in Gill, but instead he would replace Mark Mangino, who was fired in 2009 amid allegations he mistreated players.
On Sunday, after two losing seasons and three years remaining...

Football. Isiah Barfield: Silent Courage
Kansas' senior cornerback Isiah Barfield isn't the most outspoken player on the Jayhawks squad. You won't hear him being told to quiet down in practice by coaches. You won't find him preaching hour-long sermons to his teammates on the intricacies of football. However, just because Barfield isn't the most vocal player on the team, doesn't mean he's not...
