UNC won't let Okakpu in participate in pro day
Ebele Okakpu had hoped to work out for NFL scouts at North Carolina's next week despite being dismissed from the team last fall.
The school has said no and isn't budging, a sign of how much times have changed in the year since letting the three biggest offenders from an NCAA investigation into the football program return to campus for pro day.
There's a new coach, a...

2012 NFL draft: Zach Brown LB North Carolina
Coming into the 2011 season North Carolina linebacker, Zach Brown, was a third-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. But after the dominant season Brown has had for the Tar Heels it is possible he may have just played his way into a first-round pick.
He has a great sense of what is going on around him and what plays are being called on the offensive side of the ball. It'...

2012 NFL draft: Quinton Coples DT North Carolina
North Carolina defensive end Quinton Coples may have benefited from defensive tackle Marvin Austin being suspended for the entire 2011 season, but it gave him the shot he needed to propel himself into the NFL.
Couples' natural position is defensive end which he most likely will be moved back to when selected, but it does give a team the option of moving him around...

ROLL BOUNCE
Most insane INT you'll see this bowl season
During the Independence Bowl, an insane catch was made by a Mizzou Tiger Cornerback. The ball actually landed on the back of the UNC Tarheel Wide Receiver and stayed there motionless until another Tiger player was able to snag it. I challenge you to find a better interception than that.

North Carolina Football and the missed oppurtunities
If last night’s game for UNC was a movie the title would have been “Missed Oppurtunities”. Because of those mishaps North Carolina (6-5, 2-5 in the ACC) came up short against #9 Virginia Tech (10-1, 6-1 in the ACC) by the final of 24 to 21. It didn’t start badly as Carolina took the lead off a fumble by the home team, but then it was 30+ minutes of crucial mistakes that I...
