EKU has a lacrosse team that was formed last year 2008. We are currently starting our second season as a club team and are working on getting lacrosse as a well known sport around the campus and also the state of Kentucky.   • The first EKU Club Lacrosse team was actually started in 1992. but after a few years of playing a variety of teams (UK, Tennesee, Indiana, Purdue, Vanderbilt, Erlam, Wright Patterson) it apparently lost it's luster. It's great to hear that the tradition is starting up again. I remember a few of the original players like Chuck Cash, Bob Bacon, Greg Motter, Shawn Platt, Dave Nevells, Scott Platt, Chris Addison & Terry, Dusty ?, Clint ?, "Hollywood", to name a few of the approximately 25 member team. Also helping to coach the team was Dr. William Mitchell. I actually have a team photo if anyone is interested just drop me an email @: aclark03@snet.net - Thanks

  • well i actually had met chuck cash if that was the original president in wal mart randomly and he was talking to me about the team and had told me about the originals. Clint Carter has also gotten a hold of me once he heard about the team. He is now an official for college lacrosse and is trying to help us with whatever he can help us with.     That is awesome that you spoke to Chuck and Clint. I have attached a team photo that was taken before playing UK. I'm still looking for other photos. Front row L to R of the photo is: Chuck Cash, #2 Dave Nevells, #41 Clint Carter, #22 Dusty ?, Terri ?, #24 Shawn Platt, #15 ?, Scott Platt. Back Row; #7 Hollywood, #18 Greg Motter, #23 Shane Coyle, Dr. William Mitchell (green jacket). I've forgotten the names of the others in the photo. Good Luck with the upcoming season.

  • The name of the man typu called" dusty?" is dusty wethington. He's now coaching at Lafayette in Lexington. I played for him last year. I'm extremely excited to hear about this team because I will be attending eku next semester. I can't wait to play!
