Billy Baron Headlines MAAC Awards

Billy Baron of Canisius has been named MAAC Player of the Year. Baron was joined on the All-MAAC First Team by Sean Armand, Ike Azotam, George Beamon and A.J. English III. On the All-MAAC Second Team is Rhamel Brown, Ousmane Drame, David Laury, Chavaughn Lewis, Antoine Mason and Danny Stewart. Brown was also named Defensive Player of the Year.

Former Canisius coach Curran dies at 89

Joseph Curran, who coached the Canisius men's basketball team to three consecutive NCAA tournament appearances in the 1950s, has died. He was 89.
