Stiaan Van Zyl and Rushdie Jappie put on a gutsy performance as they steered the SA Academy side into a commanding lead at the end of day 2 of the Standard Bank Academy Series.
Van Zyl led the way with a dominating performance, going to his century in style with a well timed cover drive.
This Standard Bank Series four day match is a huge turn around from the performance that saw the SA Academy side, that travelled to Bangladesh earlier in the year, going down 1-0 in the long form of the game and 2-0 in the one days.
