A brief look at Thursday's 11th stage of the 99th Tour de France: Stage: The hardest Alpine stage in the Tour de France, a 92-mile ride from Albertville to the La Toussuire ski resort. Riders tackled three huge ascents in the stage totaling at least 40 miles of climbs, over two of the most grueling mountains in pro cycling, plus a nasty uphill finish. Winner: Pierre Rolland of France, who claimed his second career Tour stage win and made it two in a row for his French Europcar team after Thomas Voeckler won on Wednesday. Another Frenchman, Thibaut Pinot, was second, 55 seconds behind. Christopher Froome of Britain was third, clocking the same time as Pinot. Yellow Jersey: Bradley Wiggins extended his grip on the leader's jersey, as defending champ Cadel Evans succumbed on the final climb and dropped to fourth place overall, 3:19 behind Wiggins.
