ESPN “College GameDay” traveled to South Carolina for No. 5 Florida State vs No. 3 Clemson on Saturday evening and before the game can be played at Death Valley, the headgear pick from Lee Corso had to be discussed.
Bill Murray was the celebrity guest picker, and if that doesn’t scream awesome to you, don’t worry it does get better.
Murray played to the Death Valley crowd and picked Clemson to win, while Corso disappeared from the set. What happens next is GOLD!
Corso appears on the set dressed as the Seminole mascot, including the spear. Corso looked to stab the spear into the Clemson logo but Murray wasn’t having any of it.
Hopefully no one was injured when Murray threw the spear off the set. Nevertheless, this is one of the best headgear picks of the year.

ESPN’s “College GameDay” had comedian Bill Murray as its celebrity guest picker on Saturday. Predictably, chaos ensued.
Following the most twisted logic in “GameDay” history – i.e. picking UCLA over Stanford because the Bruins’ cheerleaders had a good recruiting year – Murray tackled Corso after the ESPN analyst dressed up as Chief Osceola. Murray then threw the Florida...
ESPN College GameDay was covering the clash between No. 5 Florida State Seminoles and No. 3 Clemson Tigers in South Carolina when all heck broke loose. Lee Corso showed his enthusiasm for his pick of Florida State by dressing as a Seminole, complete with a feathered spear. Guest picker Bill Murray disapproved of Corso’s selection so he body slammed him to the ground and then finished...
Bill Murray, the famous actor, made an appearance on ESPN and picked the Florida Gators over the Missouri Tigers. He claimed it was because they shot the film Caddyshack in Florida and he loved the weather. He also said he filmed a movie in Missouri and it rained the whole time. He also beat the heck out of Lee Corso dressed as a Seminole and picked Clemson to beat FSU. We love you...
Yes, this was funny. Because very few things in life that involve Bill Murray aren't funny.
Check out what happens during the last part of ESPN's Saturday College Football Gameday Broadcast in Clemson ahead of Saturday's Clemson/FSU primetime smackdown.
As we all know, the broadcast ends with Lee Corso wearing the head gear of the mascot of the team he picks to...
Lee Corso lives for the big stage, so you know he had to be pumped all week about his big pick for the matchup between No. 5 Florida State and No. 3 Clemson. Corso pulled his favorite stunt by going against the home crowd and opting to don the attire of Osceola, the mascot of the Seminoles. He had quite a bit of fun running around the GameDay stage showing off his Florida State...
Lee Corso is known for using crazy get ups and hats on College GameDay to show who he is picking in the featured game of the day; where the show is broadcast from. Today the game is a match up of top five teams--the Florida State Seminoles and Clemson Tigers.
When he made his pick--Florida State--guest commentator Bill Murray had a thing or two to say about his choice:
Bill Murray teed off on the set of ESPN's College GameDay at Clemson - and he did so with a purple hat and Piggly Wiggly shirt on.
Bill Murray made a guest appearance on ESPN’s College GameDay on Saturday morning, and the legendary actor/comedian did not disappoint. He and Lee Corso created a fantastic dynamic that ended with Corso dressed as an Indian chief and Murray stomping on him. Corso walking onto the set carrying a spear and wearing a headdress is […]
Yesterday I unwisely suggested that the photo of the high school student who took a selfie when his teacher was having a painful contraction should be the new American flag. Oh, what a misguided fool I was. No, the only flag I want to pledge allegiance to is the one that shows celebrity picker Bill Murray wearing a tie-dye Piggly Wiggly shirt on ESPN’s College GameDay. Preferably...
You either saw it on ESPN College GameDay, or you've heard about it. Bill Murray demolishing Lee Corso dressed up as Chief Osceola while picking FSU to beat Clemson. The chances this was scripted are way high, but it doesn't matter it had to be done.
Now if we can get Bill Murray can go and talk to Bill Snyder.

When picking for the Florida State-Clemson game, Lee Corso came dressed up as Chief Osceola onto the set. Bill Murray, who picked Clemson, did not agree with his choice and beat up Lee Corso on set before throwing the spear into a live crowd of Clemson students. This was definitely a College Gameday first and made for some great television.

These guys are too old for this, might break a hip or something, be careful. Thanks to Big Lead for video.
We would definitely tune in to watch a costumed Lee Corso take fake beatings. That is quality entertainment.
Despite this only being the eighth game of the season, I see a trend in my post game blogs. At times I feel like Bill Murray in ground hog day where I'm typing the same exact words after every game. I am also reminded by a quote when the ground hog is driving the car; "Don't drive angry," yells Murray to the little ground hog. At times I feel like he is yelling...
