Hey look, an actual legitimate news story about Erin Andrews!

That’s right folks, sideline reporter Erin Andrews and ESPN have parted ways, and it seems as if the lovely Andrews may be taking her talents to Fox and their expanded college football coverage.  Andrews’ contract with the “World Wide Leader in Sports” expires at the end of June, as does her 8-year relationship with the network.

Said ESPN…

“Erin Andrews is leaving ESPN,” an ESPN spokesperson said. “She did great work for us and we made an aggressive offer to keep her. We wish her the best on her next chapter.”

Fox has yet to comment whether they are pursuing the 34-year-old Andrews, but it would seem like a logical pairing.  The network has ramped up their college football coverage over the last two years, and the hiring of a high profile on-air personality like Andrews would only enhance Fox’s standing as a major player in college football.  They already have the magnificent Gus Johnson on board, and adding the popular and accomplished Andrews would be the proverbial icing on the cake.
