Kwesi Appiah claims he's had sleepless nights
Kwesi Appiah has revealed he had sleepless nights in the run up to Ghana’s qualification to the quarter-finals in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
The Black Stars recovered from a shaky start against DR Congo to beat Mali and Niger to advance as group B winners.
The Ghanaians surrendered a two-goal lead to draw against the Leopards, struggled to pip Mali 1-0 before seeing off less-fancied Niger 3-0 at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth.
The ex-Ghana international has revealed the uncertainties surrounding the Black Stars chances to progress past the group phase gave him restless nights.
“When you’re on top of affairs, hardly do I sleep for even three hours,” Appiah said
“But the good thing is making sure you achieve what you want.
