Paul McCartney to Play Wrigley

There's been no "official" word from anyone but we here at The Wrigley Blog are going to go ahead and officially announce it anyway: Paul McCartney will be in concert at beautiful Wrigley Field on Sunday Night, July 31st and Monday Night, August 1st, 2011 Sure it's only a rumor, but the city did secured those dates for a Wrigley concert today, the same day Sir Paul announced he's playing Yankee Stadium in mid-July. So... If this thing does happen, it'll make for the sixth concert hosted at the Friendly Confines and I gotta say, they've mixing it up pretty well so far. Jimmy Buffett (2005) for those margarita drinking Cubs Fans The Police (2007) for fans of the 1984 Cubs Elton John and Billy Joel (2009) I guess for the piano loving Cubs Fans? Rascal Flatts (2009) for the country loving Cubs Fans Dave Matthews Band (2010) for Sammy Sosa jersey wearing Cubs fans. I figure Paul McCartney's gonna be a big hit with the 1969 Cubs Fans. ...
