Look, Adam Sandler hasn’t made a good movie in a decade. But because of classics like Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and Airheads, he’ll forever get a pass with those of us who grew up giggling at his schtick. When he starts evoking the name of “Farley” and compares him to – gulp – Shaquille O’Neal, we might have a real problem here. Via Dave McMenamin: “I think everybody in the sporting world would have to give it up to Shaq being the biggest presence. He just brings a smile to your face, more than any human I’ve ever seen…I’ve been saying it, he kind of reminds me of how Chris Farley used to be where he would walk into a room and just dominate the room. Shaq’s got the same thing.” Cool your ******* jets, Opera Man. You might still be considered a “movie star” because middle America pays for your crap, but don’t overstep your bounds. Chris Farley, RIP, was a true genius. Shaq is mildly amusing. And you were played out years ago. Stick to your lowest common denominator comedy and leave the rest of our memories alone. Because pretty soon we’ll start comparing your shtick to 2 And A Half Men. And then your entire life is down the drain. Coach Kidd Makes A Call Letterman ***** On ESPN
