Well, looks like this is a good week to be a Trekker.  Just a few days ago we posted the first official teaser poster Star Trek Into Darkness, the upcoming prequel sequel featuring Chris Pine as Captain James T. Kirk, Zachary Quinto as Spock, and Benedict Cumberbatch as the as yet named villain (fingers crossed he plays Khan).  Now we get our first glimpse at the film’s premiere teaser trailer, and with the spewing lava, explosions, fight scenes, and what looks to be a federation starship crashing into the San Francisco bay, JJ Abrams’ sequel to the 2009 reboot of the venerable franchise looks visually stunning, and like any good teaser trailer, leaves the audience wanting more. But wait, there’s more. The Japanese version has 12 extra seconds, including a scene reminiscent of Spock’s death in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan… For Trekkers, the next five months are going to seem like an eternity.
