College football coaches are always busy with recruiting, and apparently the process includes recruiting fans in addition to the players. Tennessee head football coach Butch Jones is going to Game 7 of the NBA Finals tonight — he has a good relationship with Heat coach Erik Spoelstra. In a funny interview today, Jones revealed that he will be trying to convert people in the crowd to Tennessee fans — or at least there’s one fan he’d like to convert: Justin Bieber. JONES: I am looking forward to getting to the game. It’s Game 7. This is what its all about, the competitive spirit! — Tennessee Football (@Vol_Football) June 20, 2013 JONES: When the Heat went to overtime, I got a call from Kenny Chesney. I talked to him about Tennessee football. — Tennessee Football (@Vol_Football) June 20, 2013 JONES: If I sit next to @JustinBieber I would invite him to come to a #Vols game and make him a #Vols fan. — Tennessee Football (@Vol_Football) June 20, 2013 Bieber was the talk of the town (when isn’t he?) after his appearance in Miami earlier in the series — I guess we’ll find out if he’ll be in the house for Game 7.
