Video: First Lady Michelle Obama Performs UNI’s “Interlude Dance”

It’s not often that you see college basketball tradition intersected with politics.  First Lady Michelle Obama was in Des Moines, Iowa on February 9th to promote her “Let’s Move!” project.  In order to really get into the swing of things, Obama performed the Interlude Dance, which has been made famous by University of Northern Iowa students. The dance has become a viral sensation and is a staple of UNI athletics.  Trust me, I’ve seen this dance in person.  It looks ridiculous, but it’s somehow addicting.  The performance of the First Lady will probably push the dance to new heights.
