Funnyman Will Ferrell did a Super Bowl ad for Old Milwaukee, but no one saw it.
That’s because, according to Deadspin, it only ran in North Platte, Nebraska. Why Old Milwaukee wouldn’t want to treat the rest of the country to this awesomeness, we’re not sure, but it isn’t the first time it’s happened.
Ferrell has done two other Old Milwaukee ads, but they only aired in one market too. One ran in Davenport, Iowa and the other ran in Terre Haute, Indiana.
Here’s last night’s ad.

Premise of Video: Will Ferrell for Old Milwaukee. Nothing else needs to be said.
Climax of Video: Catch the can. Open the can. Look manly. Awesome!
Conclusion: If the goal was to produce a commercial and make it go viral, then well done. We think Old Mil should run these nationally, though.

The Best Super Bowl Ad That No One Saw
…
Sorry, I shouldn’t say no one. Because clearly someone with a television from 1965 and a camcorder from 1982 saw Will Ferrell’s Old Milwaukee ad.
PS
I do appreciate Old Milwaukee’s overhauled advertising pitch. They’re basically saying our beer is so ******* terrible that its legitimately funny to drink it.
