Stacking the Odds: Week 7 Two-Start SP
You guys and gals know the drill. These are pitchers who are widely available in fantasy leagues who have two-starts next week. This is a strategy you can employ every week with 1 or 2 of your pitching roster spots to give you a definite edge in strikeouts and wins, and hopefully lower your ratios.American LeagueHector Santiago, SP, CHW – @MIN (Hernandez), @LAA (Blanton)I recommended...
2013 Fantasy Baseball: The Week 7 Closer Report
If you are chasing saves, I hope you’ve been paying attention to some of my recommendations this year. We’ve seen Heath Bell and Junichi Tazawa elevated to the closer’s role in the last week – both of those players were likely far off you radar at the season’s start. Not to mention Papa Grande – Jose Valverde – in Detroit. Are there any other diamonds in the rough in...

Top AAA Starting Pitchers
If the Baltimore Orioles can get Jair Jurrjens to pitch like he did for the Atlanta Braves from 2008-2011 they will have a serious shot at winning the American League East. His numbers in the minors are a very positive sign! Do the Los Angeles Angels have any other choice than to call up either Billy Buckner and/or Matt Shoemaker? I know its the bats fault that they are not...
Prospect Profile: Christian Yelich | OF | MIA
As a rule, we fantasy owners love to own prospects before our fellow owners. There’s little as rewarding as grabbing a minor leaguer before he becomes a household name and then watching as he develops into a stud. But how do you sort the Tony Cingrani‘s from the Brandon Maurer‘s? Prospect Profile is here to help. This week we examine Marlins outfield prospect, Christian Yelich...

Eight MLB rookies who you should know about
Here are some predictions, analysis, and lame jokes about some of MLB’s new facesTony Cingrani, SP, CINCingrani is one of my favorite rookies for this season. Now before you go doing backflips down the hallway about this comparison, read everything first. He and Chris Sale have followed a similar career path to date. Both have serious strikeout stuff, with the ability to mow down...
10 early-season MLB trends you can believe in
As the early season gives us frauds, it also gives us the real deals. Many believe that Matt Harvey is the real deal and that Jackie Bradley, Jr. might have been brought up too soon. Which trends are believable and which ones will turn out to be like Saved By The Bell – just not that good in retrospect? Here are some that I believe will continue as the season progresses. P.S...
