Moving on Up…2012 was a breakthrough year for Nelson Piquet Jr. in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) and the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) at the newly-rebranded Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM). He became the first ever Brazilian to win in NASCAR after claiming a victory at the NNS race at Road America in only his third-career series start. His NCWTS season was groundbreaking as well; ending his year with two wins, three pole awards and receiving the award for NCWTS 2012 Most Popular Driver. Piquet Jr. will now become the first Brazilian to run a full-time NNS schedule in the No. 30 Camaro under the guidance of crew chief Chris Carrier.
This Week’s Camaro…The No. 30 WORX team will utilize chassis TSM-110 this Saturday at Daytona International Speedway. TSM-110 has not seen track time since the 2011 NNS season.

Nelson Piquet Jr. on his first season in NNS: “I’m so ready for this season to finally start. Running full time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series is a dream come true for me. I think Turner Scott Motorsports is going to be a very competitive team this year and I’m ready to earn them the wins they deserve. 2013 will be the most races in a season I’ve ever had in my racing career and I think that can only grow me as a driver. I know the competition is strong, but that can only help me improve.”
