Moving on Up…2012 was a breakthrough year for Nelson Piquet Jr. in both the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) and the NASCAR Nationwide Series (NNS) at the newly-rebranded Turner Scott Motorsports (TSM). He became the first ever Brazilian to win in NASCAR after claiming a victory at the NNS race at Road America in only his third-career series start. His NCWTS season was groundbreaking as well; ending his year with two wins, three pole awards and receiving the award for NCWTS 2012 Most Popular Driver. Piquet Jr. will now become the first Brazilian to run a full-time NNS schedule in the No. 30 Camaro under the guidance of crew chief Chris Carrier.
