Floyd Mayweather vs. Juan Manuel Marquez...

On Mexican Independence Day weekend...

I may watch this instead of that boring ass MMA card.

I can't wait to see Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao.

    Hopefully that is coming soon.

I don't watch MMA so that was never an option and I'm not sure I want to shell out the PPV cash for the fight. Might just follow online updates then watch the HBO replay the following Saturday.

I'm with ya Raz, I'd also love to see Mayweather/Pacquiao. But Marquez, Pacquiao, for the love of Jesus, can SOMEONE put that loud-@ss, annoying Mayweather on the canvas? Please?

Money Mayweather rules! How can you not like him Shanelle? He talks the talk, but he also walks the walk.

Excellent suggestion, I forgot that they do the replay the following Saturday. I enjoy it live though. It's hard to get through the week without a spoiler.

He does have mad talent there is no denying that; I just can't stand to listen to him run his mouth non-stop. I think he's long overdue a slice of humble pie (right upside his head, preferably).

In this day and age it's almost impossible to avoid the spoiler but I'm o.k. with knowing the outcome of a fight when watching the replay. I like to see how each round went down anyway.
    • so go to the bar and watch the fight

      Tru Dabirds...

Shanelle, Floyd is the best HBO 24/7 boxer for sure

Yeah, he provides an entertaining 24/7 no doubt.

DaBirds- did I fail to mention that I'm anti-social? You wont catch me in too many bars. Me and the bar-folk don't play well. LOL

Hopefully Money May handles his business this Saturday, and Manny takes care of Miguel Cotto. Then we'll get to see exactly whos the best pound for pound. My money's always on Pac man though!

      my thoughts exactly

      Placard_complete_small
Yes, that scenario would make a Mayweather/Pacquiao fight inevitable. Though it'd be sad to see my boyfriend, Miguel "sexy lips" Cotto lose. Oh well, he'll get over it...lol

The impressive thing to me about Mayweather is his preciseness in carrying out his game plan. Hey, not getting hit is a good thing.

    Marquez: me gusto pee pee...
Seriously though, i got mad respect for Juan. He is good people. But Floyd, as per usual, made the whole series worth watching.

Never personally had anything against fighters who could back up their talk. And i dont understand the standard Floyd is held too. After all, this is boxing, and some of the best boxers ever were notorious talkers; with Ali being the worst, yet he is an idol.

Anybody see Bob Arum's interview with Fanhouse, in which he was actually trying to tell us that the fight we want to see most wasnt appealing? That was a pretty hard sell.

I don't think Floyd and Arum get along that much to say the least. I never knew the reason why?

Floyd has no problem moving up and down and fighting others a catch weights.

He let's his opponents use whatever kind of gloves they want etc.
