okay...new here...lol
looking around, liking what i'm finding...but i'm already having a problem, one that you find in so many places, and it bugs me...found an article about my cincinnati reds, enjoyed it, responded...only to find that i was going to be required to sign up for yet another site...to post...
this gets so old, and it would seem to me that there would be a way for sites, like this one...yardbarker...to have things set up so, once signed in and having found something to which i'd like to respond, i could simply do that...i realize that every site wants more members because of revenue considerations, etc., but wouldn't it be easier for someone who has signed in here to be quickly accepted for comment on these 'contributing' blogs and such?
look, it's not like signing up for 'livefyre' or whatever takes much, and it certainly doesn't take anything in the way of approval...just e-mail info, set a password, etc...so how about maybe just having a box pop up when we encounter that new and different site, we check it, maybe reenter the password we're using her, and it authorizes you, yardbarker, to transfer our info and thus automatically sign up for the other site...
i guess there are 'considerations', but on the other hand, if you are opening the way to other sites by listing their articles and blogs, i'd hope that you have enough confidence in them to do something like this...after all, we're here, meaning we trust you enough to protect our data, etc.,
what i know is that right now, i just blow off getting my responses up except on the sites i am a member of...and i really don't need to be a member of a zillion individual sites, don't have the time or energy...whatever...just going through all this kinds of hacks me off, because i do want to participate...but the way it is, not just here either, i'd need two secretaries and a couple of scouts to help me keep up...
