SEASON OVER. TIME TO LOOK AHEAD

The twenty-fifth arena football season is history and congratulations are in order to the Arizona Rattlers for winning the championship now the question is what lies ahead for the league. The makeup of the league is the first order of business. There have been rumors of a new team in Nashville and old team the Brigade in Kansas City and a defunct team in Dallas that could return. There is also the possibility that the Tampa Bay team could move to Miami. In addition to this, the league is rumored to be starting it's own developmental league with eight franchises that would affiliate with A FL clubs, such a practice should provide deeper stronger teams that would make the run for the playoffs much more completive. There remains the possibility that the league could add another national televised game of the week with another television partner that would strengthen the leagues exposure. The league must continue too develop efforts to increase league interest and attendance,if it is going to move too major sport status in the future, the highly successful Jerry Kurtz and his staff should be able to do this and put the league on a path for a strong and viable future.
