PASL: Sidekicks edge Revolution in 14-goal thriller

A cracking match on Saturday evening saw a tremendous 14 total goals scored from an incredible 60 shots at goal at the Cox Business Center in Tulsa.
Tulsa Revolution are still looking for the first victory this season but it's not for the lack of trying that they find themselves winless. Having scored 35 goals seems like a winable formula; allowing 56 goals against is the reason they have zero points.
Saturday evening was always going to be a difficult task for the Revs but they ran Dallas close for most of the match and gave themselves a lot of hope for the remainder of the season that they could infact turn things around.
Dallas for their part, have been consistently victorious this season and with an record breaking 35 shots at goal, they were always on the road to victory against their hosts.
However the game got off to a slow start with only a 3-1 lead for the Sidekicks as they entered into the final and fourth quarter.
Exploding into life, 10 goals were fired home in the last 15 minutes, with both sides sharing the goalscoring exploits to set the crowd into a frenzy of excitement that befuddled most that had watched the previous 45.
Tulsa did put the frighteners on Dallas at one point when they pulled the scoreline back to just the one goal deficit but the Sidekicks again added more goals in a quickfire series of goals that made it difficult for the scorechecker to keep track.
With 12 separate scorers mixed amongst the match, it really is a complete sports game where goals can come from anyone, anywhere at anytime and with the exception of the Sidekicks Arredondo  who grabbed a hat trick, 11 others found the back of the net with a goal each.
Dallas now find themselves 5-1, only trailing Hidalgo La Fiera and Monterrey due to games played. Tulsa, find themselves languishing at the bottom alongside Texas Strikers with both sides still looking for that opening win.
Both Dallas and Tulsa face off again just after Christmas with a battle at the Allen Center on the 27th but perhaps more importantly for both the bottom dwelling sides Tulsa and Texas, they face off against each other the following night (28th) at the Cox Business Center, where one will emerge victorious and potentially earn their season opening victory.
