Soccer Texas: Houston Dynamo Open Tryout Details Announced for September

This is a chance that you simply cannot miss!
The Houston Dynamo announced details of an open tryout that will take place on Saturday, September 22 at the Houston Amateur Sports Park and is open to soccer players 18 years of age and older. For the seventh-consecutive year, the Dynamo will host these trials and during last year’s event, more than 200 soccer players from around the country competed for a spot on the Dynamo’s first team.  The official tryout is comprised of a fitness test, skills competition and a game against the Dynamo Academy U-18 team, presented by Statoil.  Participants who pass the fitness test, which will be held on September 22, will be invited back the following day for the skills competition. From there, a select group of players will be invited to compete against the Dynamo Academy on September 29. Dynamo head coach Dominic Kinnear and his coaching staff will be on hand to evaluate that match. Registration for Dynamo Trials is $75, and includes two tickets to the Dynamo’s CONCACAF Champions League Match on September 20 vs. CD FAS. Partial proceeds from Dynamo Trials 2012 will benefit Dynamo Charities in support of the Dynamo’s Youth Development System.
