Soccer Texas: Two Texas PDL Players Shortlisted for Player of the Year
Two of the Mid South Divisional players have made the PDL shortlist for player of the year in their particular field.
After being named in the PDL team of the year, Laredo Heat defender Max Gunderson, finds himself in the group of three that will be chosen between for Defender of the year which will top of an already mighty season by the defender and his team should he win.

Our other Texas participant comes in the form of West Texas Sockers goalkeeper Alonso Jimenez.
Alonso was perhaps a surprise choice last week for the PDL Southern Conference Team but it's a welcome end to the season for the team that finished bottom of the Mid South division and come Saturday, the goalie could be celebrating as PDL goalkeeper of the season.

The awards for the 2012 regular season honors will be presented at Saturday’s awards ceremony at the 2012 PDL Championship in Greensboro, North Carolina.
