The  recent  release  of the   AFL   schedule  on  CBSSN   has fans buzzing about the opener  between   the  San Jose Sabercats    and  the Portland Thunder.  The Sabercats have been one of the leagues most successful franchises over the years winning the arenabowl on several occasions. They figure to be there again this season sparked by a high flying offense and demanding defense that opponents feared all of last season. The  Portland Thunder offer the excitement of a new franchise. The team will be coached by former Utah Blaze offensive mastermind Matthew Sauk, an arena league equivalent of  current Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Nrv Turner. The Thunder has stocked its roster with many exciting young players this coupled with a few trades should make them competive in their first season.  The matchup will  occur on  Monday night March 17th  don't miss it.    Next   week    A  training camp   wrapup   who is looking good heading into the new year.
