How Long Should Cowboy Fans Defend Tony Romo?

I attended the game on Sunday night at the brand new Cowboys Stadium. Once again, Tony Romo put up a stinker of a game in front of a huge national TV audience and several past Cowboy stars that were in attendance for the new ring of honor celebration. Did everyone buy in like I did that he was going to change and stop throwing stupid passes that lose games? Like most Cowboy fans, I have defended Tony Romo time and time again. Time and time again, he goes and does this to the fans that support him. Yes, the defense played a lousy game, but they did play well enough to win. The Giants got four turnovers, three of which were from Romo, and those three turnovers were converted into three touchdowns by an opportunistic offense. Thirty points should be enough to win a game, but any team that gives up four turnovers to any team, much less the New York Giants, is going to lose 99% of the time.

I'll stand here and even defend the defense, which is looking very porous, although they held NYG time and time again, but the Dalls QB kept putting them into situations where they could not hold all night long. I started getting down on Romo after the Pittsburgh game last year when he lost the game for the Cowboys. We can definitely hold him responsible for this one. Personally, I hate to agree with all of the other football barkers out there, but I am thinking that Tony is just not going to be the man to get this team over the hump. Every time there is a big game on the big stage, he falters. I don't know if that is going to change. How long do we keep hoping that it will?

Overall, the day was fun. The crowd was very large and the stadium is definitely a great place to watch a game.
