I am done as a fan of Eagles!!!!

I am sick of the wishy washy play and the bad play calling. I have been rooting for this team for 29 yrs of my life and I am TIRED. I pay too much money to follow this team and this is what they do. They are a far more superior than the Cowboys but yet and still they lay an egg!!!! I have been a HUGE Mcnabb supporter, but now I am just being real....he is not what he used to be and every other throw is in the dirt WTF????? I am DONE ....this team will never ever win the Super Bowl and that is what they will have to do in order for me to watch them play again or buy any more merchandise.....I am not taking anything from the cowboys they beat the sorry Eagles....And for all the fans who say I am not a true fan ......wake up and see what I see, stop being blind this team will NEVER win a RING!!!!!! No in game adjustments, poor game management and a lack of effort all around ......I am cancelling my NFL ticket and my planned trip to training camp.....The Eagles do not deserve me as a fan.....time for them to show me why I should continue to torture myself year in and year out. So to everyone that will talk smack about me just remember this article when we are sitting home watching playoffs on the couch!!!!! This is football not rocket science how hard is it to get fired up and play a game that they have been playing for years??? ....NO WAY THEY SHOULD HAVE 3 losses..........I am OUT !!!! You want to impress me win the Super Bowl !!!!! Until then no more support from me at all!!!!!!!

I tried to stop being an Eagles fan when they had TO because I just couldn't stand him. Well, it didn't work. I'm almost 40 and I've been rooting for them as long as I can remember. I guess I like having my heart ripped out every football season.

There isn`t one team in every sport on the face of the Earth, that hasn`t steamed their most devout fans at one time or another. I was once a Jets fan, but I quit, not because of the team, but the so-called fans who did nothing, but moan and groan about the then poor record. I hear this man`s complaint, and I wouldn`t try to talk him out of it. There comes a time when the teams DO have to earn fan loyalty. Last nights` primetime floperoo was not a game to inspire the faithful. Thank Providence I was too sick (real illness) to watch. Being a fan of anything shouldn`t necessarily have to carry a lifetime guarantee. If and when you`re ready for it E-man 11, the Eagles will once again ignite your passions. Peace.

Wow, I started off reading this article and rolling my eyes because i could never fathom not being an Eagles fan. But then i read what wheel just wrote, "Being a fan of anything shouldn`t necessarily have to carry a lifetime guarantee." Now i'm not jumping ship personally because i've been a fan since Randall and i made it through the years following. But Eagleman, do what you gotta do because they aren't doing anything to keep you on board right now. As for me i'll be here with the Birds cussing and screaming until we get the ring!

I feel your pain eagleman, it sucks to watch the team one week look like contenders and then the next week look like they havent seen a football. I have to say Reid and Morninweg draw some good plays, HOWEVER they suck and game planning. Ive never seen such a ass backwards handling of a game. Sure the refs blew the call for that 4th and inches but thats the story of our existence. Almost there. We need a coordinator who can feel the game and understand what needs to be done. If we line up in shotgun every play even the weakest D can figure us out. Its crazy that Andy cant see that without the run game were finished...Dallas practically gave us the whole underneath field and Andy couldnt see it....Its sad to say but this generation of talent may be wasted due to poor coaching...PS....Zero timeouts with 4 min plus in the game...????unheard of!

Become a Raiders fan then! I dont want to hear your BS. I dropped over a grand to watch that garbage lastnight...you dont see me packin it up. We lost, deal with it...not the end of the world. If you recall, we put this show on EVERY YEAR under the Reid/McNabb era...start ok, hit the mid season kick to the junk, than hit the burners in late November/December....only to be let down in the post...but who cares, I give WAAAYYYY more credit to the Raiders, Bucs, Detriot fans etc. you dont see them post that $hit after a heartbraker, hell...i give more props to the true Cowboy fans, that team gets hyped up damn near every year to be let down in the FIRST game of the playoffs...by the way, good win Girls, you played better than we did.

  Yeah, i was sayin that on the other post to you...that was one of the most mild crowds by far...splurged a bit and got club seats (wife was with me), so it maybe it was the local atmosphere...usually sit n the trenches, that $hit gets out off control..i have seen women and children get beer dumped on em, all out fist fights in the stands break out..very mild this time around.

  yeah...it happens...i was at the philly/skins game a few monday nights ago and a WAR broke out in the bathroom. The worst crowd i ever delt with in my life..we had to leave after the 1st (right after westbrook went down) Had to peal my buddy out of two fights...way the night was goin would have either been in jail or curb stomped by a mob of angry loosing skins fans.

  If I had to root for another team, it would probably be the Denver Broncos. They have two former Eagles that play big roles on that team and they are fun to watch.
  
  However, I think the majority of the Eagles fanbase is and always will be loyal to this team, even if they get frustrated after a tough loss.

  Everyone feels that way about their team at some point. And yes, it does suck to be the 1990's ugly sister of the Buffalo Bills. Ha! But the window hasn't closed yet, and we have a good group of core players that have been very competitive over the past 10 years. Now we have even better skill players (WR, TE, RB) than I have seen in YEARS, and a defensive coordinator who picked up right where JJ left off. We have been inconsistent this year, where the good is REALLY good, and the BAD is just BAD. So that needs to be corrected/adjusted in the next few games. It's not how you start, it's how you finish. And right now we are 5-3 and in the thick of things in the NFC conference. I'm not too worried that we are going to "lay an egg" the rest of the season. If we can bury the Chargers, we have a chance ro rip off a bunch of wins in a row.
  
  The key is the OL and getting them healthy. Jason Peters has been pretty good for the most part, but gets his ankle rolled on too many times. Most of this has to do with the poor play of the RG position (Stacy Andrews is key in getting healthy). It has yet to be a year since his surgery, so I don't expect him to be 100% until MAYBE week 13. By then, we should be in a good position to make another strong run at the SB. Look at it this way...
  
  Besides the Patriots and their cheating ways. Nobody has really dominated the NFL. It took the Steelers and Cowher over a decade to win one Superbowl and Mike Tomlin just rode his coat tails. Coughlin was almost fired before the Giants got hot and won the Superbowl. Indy has Manning and they have been GREAT during the regular season, but it took them how long before they won a Superbowl? Close to a decade I believe. How about the Broncos? They haven't been significant in over a decade and won back to back versus inferior teams in a weak NFC. How about the Cowboys? They were good due to Minnesotta giving up the farm and drafting good players. But what have they done since 1995? Fumble their playoff chances away and get CRUSHED by the Eagles when it mattered most (44-6). The Bucs? They rode one of the best defenses of ALL TIME to a SB win. A one trick pony (just like the Ravens). Sure, they all have won the SB but I wouldn't give up on the Eagles. Their is still time and the team is almost mirroring the late 90's Broncos with Elway to this point (or the late 70's version of the Raiders). As soon as we win ONE Superbowl, you will be the happiest person on Earth. Imagine how those Broncos fans felt with losing every Superbowl by a vast margin then FINALLY winning one. Or the late 70's Raiders fans who had a similiar run during their hay day. I'll bide my time and cheer just as loud for the team I've loved for many years. The good, and the bad. No matter how pissed off you get at the situation, it's just like family. You love them, you hate them, but in the end they are still family. We all share your elation and pain. We are one of the most vocal fans in the NFL. It's almost as stupid as the movie Rocky. Even though we get bashed and beaten, knocked down and exhausted. We will eventually win. And when we do, it will be the one of the best memories in your entire lifetime. I'm not ready to give up, WE are not ready to give up. And neither should you. But hey, better than being a Lions fan! Ha

Well eagle, at least the last 10 years have been exciting to watch. There was a long stretch I can't really remember the quarterbacks. Jaws was good and I loved Randall (he got me excited about football again), but until McNabb came along, there were a bunch of no-names. Turn the game on Sunday and see how you feel.

We're 5-3 and a game out of first place! Our Eagles have been the most resilient team in the NFL over the last decade. Remeber the 2-3 start in 03', being 5-6 in 06', and 5-5-1 last year? We battled back each time and made strong playoff pushes. Ww always play well in the second half of the season so there's no reason to give up now. We will finish strong and be in another good position to make it to the Super Bowl. Let's just hope this year we make it over the final hurdle.

If you think its aggravating being an Eagles fan, I can assure you, you don`t know the meaning of aggravation. Last year we had injuries and a lousy season. So this year we are `rebuilding`. I hate that term, because what it really means, is that the FO didn`t do a good job during the off-season. Like I said above, EVERY team will push their fans to the wall sooner or later. But having the guts to say `enough is enough`, shows intelligence, a helluva lot more than Malicoire displayed above.

Some of that might have had to do with a little pressure on the QB. Plus, the Eagles don't play that well from behind late in the game. They like to strike quick, get leads and let their defense take control and feed off of turnovers. No turnovers = tough game.

EagleMan11 I'm with you, I'm 39 years old and I'm just sick & tired of the same dog & pony show every year. Yes Andy is a good coach, Yes McNabb is the best QB in Eagles franchise history but the pass happy offense, the mismanagement of the timeouts, not being able to adjust, always getting outcoached in a big game and last but not least McNabb throwing too high or in the dirt. 11 years is a long time...thanks for the memories but these two need to go...I was done after the Raiders loss. McNabb sitting there with that goofy grin after getting sacked or throwing it into the stands!!! I'm done. I'll watch but I could care less what they do from here on out. They cannot and will not EVER win the Super Bowl until Fat Andy and McHeimlich leave town.

lots of factors are going on right now!!! rookie mistakes, injuries have added up, non exisitent running attack, bad adjustments!!! also consider that alot of teams right now would kill for a 5-3 record right now!!! dallas has a hot streak going and is healthy and no t.o. distraction!!! the eagles if they can field one line up every week consistently will be in the play offs!!! against the giants the eagles ran more and kept them off balance!!! in this game reid saw newman back there and thought he could exploit him!!! it back fired and he won't be proven wrong until its too late!!! dallas countered by attacking mc nabb!!! simple math u need A+B = C dallas' D exploited the O-line and took away A!!!
