Mayock's love affair with Matt Ryan

NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock is an unabashed fan of Boston College QB Matt Ryan, and he breaks down "Matty Ice" in this exclusive video for the Yard. Obviously the kid has some skill, and by most accounts he's the best QB available in this year's Draft. But Mayock has personal ties to Ryan's family, and one of Mayock's partners at NFL Network, Charles Davis, suggested to me that Mayock's criticism of Darren McFadden is rooted in Mayock's personal, vested interests in Ryan. Shortly thereafter, though, Mayock himself told me that he hopes that Ryan drops to Baltimore at #8, and I'm not sure how criticizing McFadden would make that drop any more likely.
