Pacman Jones and Dallas agree in principle to a deal

The Dallas Cowboys have agreed in principle with suspended Titans' CB Pacman Jones to bring him to Dallas. Dallas will give up a 4th round pick in exchange for Jones, but the deal is contingent upon Jones meeting certain criteria before he can even join the team. Of course, one of those is reinstatement, plus he had to donate $500,000 to a charity organization, and multiple others. It looks like Jones will be Cowboy though, eventually. Just saw this on ESPN, details to come. Lemme know what you think.

Never mind rmsrekar, I got it. Good deal. Something that actually may not be a rumor. Cool deal.

Sounds like we may have overpaid, that is unless he winds up scoring on three more punt returns and helps heep Newman's cap number down next season with dreams of a superbowl. Anyone guessing as to the conditional pick?

Does this mean that he is eligible to work out at the Cowboys facilities now?

Don't know, but I bet he can now that he is the property of the Cowboys.

IF he can stay out of trouble for the rest of his career it's a good deal for Dallas. That's a big if though. I have a hard time believing he won't get into anymore trouble but he is without a doubt one of the better corners and returners in the league. Time will tell.

Thanks. Lot of performance conditions in the deal and that's the way it should be.

this is a safe contract for jerry jones who is clearly a better owner than jeff lurie, the last time pac man played at the linc he single handly won that game for the titens,he can play but i knew the jeff and joe show would not even consider this guy

I think he will be. And, I'm sure it's in his contract that if he doesn't get reinstated, he is not going to get paid.
